visit #2

My husband went back to the foot doctor yesterday. He explained that his foot was feeling no better. He was given another shot and charged $195. We have now spent $450 for 2 visits and his foot still feels the same. This shot did not seem to help either. We don't know what to do next?

    Julie, is this a podiatrist? Did he get referred to this doctor by another? My husband was having such terrible foot pain that then engulfed his ankle, lower leg, and knee. He ended up going on the weekend to one of those free-standing clinics. The doctor there referred him to a neurologist as if it were nerve pain! But the next week he was able to see our own internist, who could tell with a description of the problem plus one look at the foot exactly what the real problem was (confirmed by a lab test.) He had not needed a specialist; he just needed someone with lots of experience with relatively common problems. Our regular doctor, the internist, had him on the road to recovery right away...So, yes, I just recommend checking with a second doctor.

    Yes, this is a podiatrist and our regular medical doctor, referred him there.

    Did he give him any exercises to do? They are so helpful.
