Does anyone have the air on yet???

April 13th, 2011 at 08:50 pm

It warmed up to the point that I was wearing shorts this week. It has been nice because the heat has not run all week. I was debating about putting the a/c on, but I have not done that yet.
Yesterday, the weather changed and it is cool again. It is nice when neither the heat or air is running.

I took out all the extra money in my envelopes this morning, including my corvette envelope. (dh still does not know it is paid off) All in all I have $1000 to add to my $20 challenge. I deposited the money this morning and now I am transferring it to my ING account that is paying 1.14%

Prev. total $5510.00
today 1000.00
new total $6510.00

It is not on today, but it was on this weekend because it was VERY humid and near 90 degrees. My house gets zero shade. This weekend, the heat will be running because it will be in the 40's. That's spring for you, I guess.

We, too, should have put it on this weekend. My kids were lamenting how HOT it was in the house at 8:00 PM on Sunday. Thankfully we're enjoying cooler weather now.

No air here yet! We have not had the heat on for a few weeks now either....we absolutely LOVE this time of the year. We will hold off on the air until the last possible moment!

My heat is still running at night through early mornings. Our nights are getting down into the 30's and 40's, but I sure like it when it is not on during the days anymore.

I am hoping that I can go as long as possible without turning the A/C on. I would love to give my furnace and A/C unit a break, along with my pocketbook.

Nope! Hopefully not until well into May.

I still have my heat kicking in periodically during the evening.

I love Spring though, My Energy Bill hits its peak Between Jan/Feb and then it decreases util July when it starts to rise again until Jan/Feb.

I wonder how long I can hold out on the AC? I hope I can hold out until June/July.

I just noticed my furnace running - it's set to 58.

Airs been on here for weeks - probably since sometime in mid-March. Although we did have a few cold snap days since then.

We had the AC on maybe two weeks ago for like two days. Then back to the heater.
