10,000 a day!

December 31st, 2010 at 07:50 pm

I heard on the news this morning that, starting tomorrow and every day after that for 15 years, 10,000 baby boomers will turn 65 and go on medicare! Wow, that is a lot of people!!

This is the last day of the year, and the first day that dh was able to to to work! We have no plans for tonight, so we will just stay home and celebrate by outselves! (if I can stay awake that long)
I did have a no use gas day yesterday, so I will add my final $2 to the challenge. Gas is now up to $3.35 per gallon here, so staying home does save money now!

Happy New Year!

Prev. total $16,642.00
today 2.00
new total $16,644.00

I've got about a half tank in each car, and am going to try to ride that out until prices dip, then use my Kroger 25 cent a gallon discount. We'll see how that works out!

    Happy New Year, Ima!

My DH will be one of those boomers who turns 65 in 2011.

Our gas was $3.15 a gallon on Christmas Eve and it has dropped to $3.09 so far. DH says he read where it is expected to jump to $4 by the spring and $5 in 2012.

Gas in my area is $2.84/gallon as of today. I try to combine errands to save gas.

It cost over $50.00 to fill up my Toyota Camry last week. I think gas was over $3.50 a gallon, but I honestly don't pay that close of attention since we get it at Costco, which is the cheapest place around.
