Alone!!

October 15th, 2010 at 03:52 pm

For the first time in about 20 years, I am home alone.
Dh left early (6 am) this morning to go and visit his father in Florida. Today is his 89th birthday.
We have never traveled with 2 dogs in a corvette, so I decided that I would stay home. The older dog, Holly has traveled a lot, but the puppy, Molly has not.
Plus, my FIL and his girlfriend now have a new dog, so I think 3 dogs together would be too much!!

So, I am all alone here with my two little buddies! They are very good for protection too. You can rest assure that Molly won't let a squirrel get within 4 feet of this house.

I have not kept up with the stock market this week; the braves are no longer playing, but I did have a no use gas day this week, so I will add $2 to my challenge. (Ugh, gas is now $3.05 a gallon here. I use premium and need to fill up today.)

Prev. bal. $14,576.00
today 2.00
new total $14,578.00

Ha ha ha... 3 dogs? When we go to see the inlaws, there are usually at least 6 dogs!

I have feline furbabies and definitely don't like to travel in their carriers to the vet clinic. I am not sure what we do if we wanted to go on a trip. Kennel them, I guess. I don't really want someone I don't know coming into my house to feed the cats. Enjoy your alone time! This can be your chance to eat what you want, watch what you want on tv, and otherwise do what you want.

We have had 4 dogs in my house at a time. Two terriers and two pit bull mixes. Oh my... it is chaotic. Good think I have a big back yard. The female terrier tries to dominate the male pit mix and stands on her little hind legs to be as tall as his head....and growls at him while he stands there. It is pretty hilarious actually. I have video.

Consider it "ME" time. Take the dogs for a long walk and pack a sandwich and treats for them.

I know you eat out a lot, but maybe you'd enjoy cooking up a big meal, something you know the hubster wouldn't enjoy anyway.

And PS, you're not alone, cus you have us!
