NFOmysurvey

I do surveys for two places, pinecone, which most of you know about and NFOmysurvey.
I am happy with Pinecone but not with NFO my survey anymore.
Normally, NFO will send me a short survey (under 5 minutes) and I will receive 10 points for it. To get a check for $10, you have to accumulate 1000 points. You can get 150 points for referring someone who becomes a member. Sometimes you will get much longer surveys that will pay hundreds of points.
Lately, the surveys I have been getting, are only paying 5 points each. You know how many surveys you have to do to get to 1000 points? Way too many!

I have also been receiving surveys for NO points. Instead they enter your name in a contest. I don't do those surveys at all.

I have decided to stop doing these surveys as soon as I accumulated my next 1000 points. I had 765 points as of yesterday. I got another survey for 5 points and after I took it, they offered me a survey about financial products that paid 400 points. I jumped on it.

The survey took about 40 minutes and as soon as I finished, I redeemed my points.

Has anyone else stopped doing the surveys because of the low points awarded??

Today, we are going to a wine tasting party hosted by our local Humane Society. It is a bit expensive at $60 a couple, but I feel like our Humane Society is a very worthy cause. It is a no kill shelter and I support them as often as I can.

NFO is the only one I ever qualified for. I spent hours doing surveys and never got enough points for any cash, so gave up on it. I am sure like my past experiences, I just didn't qualify for the good surveys. Pinecone has rejected me more than once.

NFO now wants 1100 points too for the $10 cash reward. It's become too time-consuming and annoying. I refuse to do the no- points surveys and only do the others while I'm doing something else, like watching TV or waiting for something.
I'm also fed up with e-rewards. The rewards are lousy and hard to come by.

Wow, if you stop and figure out how much time you are putting into those surveys, the pay extrapolates to slave labor, doesn't it? I quit Pinecone when they stopped paying $5 per survey, which coincided with when their surveys started malfunctioning for me anyway.

The best ones seem to be the product testing surveys from Pinecone or American Consumer Opinion. We've tested a variety of products. But e-rewards? Bah. I think I'd like to tell them why I'm quitting before I quit--and after I cash out.

I too am dropping mysurvey because:
they dropped the points given for surveys
    they raised the $ payout

I do NOT do the pointless surveys either.

I CERTAINLY intend to tell them exactly why.

Good, I am glad you have all stopped. I also found out that they are charging $1.50 to send me a check. I still like Pinecone. Even tho they only pay $3 now, the surveys are much shorter! I like the free products too.

Ima: If you sign up for paypal, that would eliminate some of your problems. The survey companies send the money to your paypal account. Paypal emails you to let you know that you were sent money. You then log on to paypal and request for them to transfer the money to your bank account. It's also faster than mail and you don't have to wonder if your check was lost in the mail and you definitely don't have to take it to the bank to deposit it. I'm considering dropping my survey as well. One that I have is SURVEY SPOT, and I never know what to think about that one.
