C.D. came due!

I had a certificate of deposit come due yesterday. I earned $8386 in interest for the year. I am so glad when I got the c.d., I took it for 2 years and it is paying 4%
I did my grocery shopping yesterday and according to the receipt, I saved $6 using my store card and coupons. I will add that to the $20 challenge plus my check which came into today for $486.

    Wow, just one CD got you over $4K a year! In 2009, my savings earned me just over $4. Smile

    Actually, it earned me over $8000. I can remember when they paid 8%!

    Wow that's crazy, can I ask what bank you got that interest rate at? Was it a Jumbo Cd (meaning a large amount to start with)?

    It was Community Bank and Trust in Hiawassee, Georgia. Yes, it was a jumbo cd.
