asked for a refund!

Yesterday, I wrote a letter asking for a refund. we had ordered one of those edenpure heaters that have been advertised so much. It was supposed to help my husband by heating the inside of the house he is building. It did not do much of anything, so we sent it back.
It took 2 weeks, but we finally got credited back the $397 we spent on it.
So, I decided to ask for my shipping costs back. It cost almost $28 to send it back UPS. The cover letter said we could sent it back at their cost! so, I sent a copy of their letter and the UPS bill to them.
I really doubt that I will ever get that money back, but it does not hurt to ask.

    I doubt you will get your shipping costs back, but if they stated they will pay for it, then you might as well try.

    That's great that you got the refund. I got a watch fro X-mas that doesn't work. I emailed the company, asking for a replacement watch if I returned the broken one, and they haven't bothered to answer me.

    i was particularly fond of a brand of bra that i use to buy. they must have cut the quality in the little strap joiner things and the last two pairs i bought snapped. so i sent a letter first explaining that i was really unhappy and would consider not purchasing anything from their brand again. they sent a letter back saying to send both of the bras to them, to a 'reply paid' address and they would replace them! and they did!

    It never does hurt ask...I was wondering if you could recommend any on-line surveys. I think I read once that you did them. I would like to make an extra few dollars a month.
