Frugal Saturday

I had to buy prilosec for dh on Saturday. He takes it every day. I buy the biggest package, which is $29.99. we use to have to pay $120 a month for just 30 pills, now it is $29.99 for 42 pills.
Ingles had the pills on sale for $2 off and right under the pills were coupons for $3 off, so I saved $5.
Then, we were planning on going out to eat dinner Saturday night, but at the last minute decided to stay home and watched the movie, "Fargo", so that saved us at least $20. So I will add that $25 to my $20 challenge.

    Their website has "request a free sample" right now. I also see it in the Walgreens ad this week. $18.99 for 28 ct, 20 mg. Buy 1 and get $4 register rewards (coupon for money off your next purchase of anything), buy 2 and get $10 back. So, $37.98 for 56 of them, less coupons for $3 off each package if you can find them again, less $10 to spend on something else, might be a pretty good deal. Of course, if you don't want to spend any more money this month on it, that won't help at all!

    Almost every month the newspaper has a coupon for prilosec in the P&G coupon inserts. Usually they are only $1 off depending on where the newspaper is published but $1 is a $1.

    We don't have a wal greens where I live. also, our local newspaper is only published once a week and has no coupons.
