Gasoline in this area went up a dollar since yesterday. Some of us were warned and filled up our tanks. I don't drive that much, so I only spend $11 to fill up my tank, but my husband spent over $100. They say the price went up because of the pending hurricane, but oil was down to $100 a barrel yesterday. Raising the price because of what MIGHT happen, does not make sense to me!! Did gas prices go up where you live?
Gas went up a dollar overnight!!

Sounds like price gouging to me. Stations that don't raise their prices would see more business than those that didn't. but the same thing happened in Katrina too. All those oil refineries are in danger too.

Honest to god, I am sick and tired of the prices going up on everything. They bump minimum wage and use it as an excuse to triple the prices on everything.I hope the people doing this to us starve to death as I am sick of wondering if I will make it through college on my funds. Im having to work 2 jobs to pay for expenses, and yet still have to find time to study. This is bull. The rich are getting richer by making the plummeting the middle class into the lower class. They better hope there is not a god or they are screwed.

It is rediculous. Remember when the gas companies were going to get in trouble for selling the stuff they had bought at a cheaper price for the new sale price of the barrell? What happened?
I know they didn't go out and buy a bunch of new gas to sell us at a higher price.
