12.8 gallons = $50??

May 4th, 2008 at 02:57 pm

I just filled up my car this morning. It took 12.8 gallons and cost $49.70 to fill up. I can not imagine what some people must pay weekly just to drive to work. We live in remote area. Our little town does not even have a taxi. Everyone must drive.
Well, I don't work, so I do try and stay home more than I use to.
I don't see how some families are even making it around here!!

When I fill up my tank on my big ole car, it costs about $55. I have pulled up to the pump before and saw that the last person put in about $70 in their SUV (I am assuming). Can you imagine $70 to fill up you tank? We live in the burbs and all these people drive these big ole SUVs. Granted my car doesn't get the best gas mileage, but someday when I decide to replace it it will be for somthing very fuel efficient.
