buying steak!

Steak is one of my favorite foods, but I rarely order it at a restaurant. No one can cook steak any better than my dh. I can almost always buy steak on sale at the local bi lot. We can usually have a nice steak dinner for two for about $7 instead of spending $35. (or more)
Last night I picked up 2 N.Y. steaks on sale for $6, saving $5 which I will add to my challenge money.

    Sounds very yummy. My DH is a steak & potato man, so I always look for sale signs on good T-bone and NY steak.

    Ima: Anytime you make something at home, you know exactly what you're getting and who is cooking it. Good job on the steak sale. Very good price.

    Hmm.... I've seen some cheapers ones before so yeah, I'll definitely look into it later.

    You really should shop where I work Ima. You could be saving so much more for your groceries...including steak.

    I have recently been doing a lot more cooking at home to save on my eating expenses. I went to walmart the other day and found a 12 ounce steak for 2 bucks. Granted, the steak was not the highest quality, but when it is spiced and covered in broiled motzerella and barbecue sauce you can't tell that much of a difference.

    You can basically take any cut of steak and cook it in a crock pot and it literally melts in your mouth.
