throw away mail!

January 18th, 2008 at 03:10 pm

Don't you hate when all of your mail goes directly to the garbage can? That is the way my mail has been the last two days.
I get lots of catalogs and lots of offers for credit cards. They all go into the trash!
Remember when we use to write letters? Those days are long gone.
Oh well, maybe I will get a bill today? Or a check?? I prefer checks!!!!!

Put those credit card offers in the shredder!

Confession time - I keep some of the junk mail to use as packing materials. I don't use anything with personal information on it but since I still occasionally sell something online the junk mail makes great packing stuff.

But yeah, we're a trash happy people in general!

I agree with SCFR. Letters? I can't tell you the last time I got one or wrote one for that matter; even the Christmas cards I receive are electronic. But junk mail, I am bombarded with them

Sometimes if it has a side that hasn't been written on, I will use this as scrap paper by either leaving it the way it is in a single sheet or by cutting it up to make smaller note size pieces.

Like others, I just cut my information off and put that in the shredder and throw the rest in the recycle bin to be picked up. Why put your shredder through the whole process of shredding up a whole sheet of paper that only has a small square of personal information on it?

I put my junk mail and catalogs in the recycle bin at church. I figure if someone wants to send me their stuff, bring it on. I collect it, put it in a bag and help my church make money off all the offers and catalogs. Of course, I rip out my name on any CC offers before I contribute to the church.
