Got my credit card bill

December 28th, 2007 at 06:27 pm

I got my credit card bill in the mail yesterday. I signed up for a chase master card because they give back 3% of what you spend at home improvement stores and 1% on other purchases. My dh spends a lot of money at home depot, since he is a builder.
So, on this, my 2nd billing cycle, I have earned enough points to get a check. You only need 5000 points to get 50 dollars. I already have over 9000 points, so I requested my check and will be able to request another by the time I get the next bill.
Then I did a survey with nfo and that earned me another $10 check.

Ok, the checks are in the mail!!!

Nice little pot of money for your $20 challenge.

That sounds like it may make a nice little continuous stream of income for you.

That's a great rebate on stuff you buy constantly anyway. Is there any annual cap on it? Even if there is, that will help out a lot.

No annual cap that I know of! Our last card was a GM and we got 3% to accumulate towards a new car up to $1000. We got $550 off. But I don't plan on getting another new car anytime soon!

FYI...Chase rebate cards typically do have a maximum amount you can redeem within a calendar year. With the Chase Freedom and Rewards cards, there is a $300/yr. cap.

What we do to get around this is to use one card, pay if off each month, accumulate points, obtain the $300 rebate, then use the other card.
