I am over 70, but still feel like I am just 7. I love to go dancing with my wonderful husband of almost 40 years.Since we have never earned a lot of money, we have learned to take care of what we have. We live in the mountains in north georgia in a big beautiful house that my husband build and it is mortgage free. Now I am trying to save so my "younger" husband can retire someday.
I got a headstone for my last dog, Lucy. It arrived in the mail today. We have all 3 of our dogs buried out beside the creek, all with their own little headstone. Do any of you do this?
I don't have headstones for my pets, but when I lived in Honolulu, every pet I buried I also planted something on their grave...ti-leaves,plumeria or hibiscus.
I just keep my favorite picture in a frame. This way I can remember the good things and not focus on death so much.
I might be biased because when my first pet passed away after 20 years, I was living in an apartment in a different state from my hometown and in college. Now that I have a home, I might think differently when the future time comes but not sure.
