My husband doesn't like this.

Since I have joined this forum, I have looked for loose change on the ground, but have not had much luck. One thing I also do and my husband doesn't like, it to look at newspaper stands. I look at the newspaper headline, but I also look in the coin return to see if there is any money there. He hates that.
Today, I stopped and looked at the local paper stand and there were 2 quarters in the coin return.
When I came out of Ingles, I looked at the Atlanta paper and found two more quarters there. Wow, I gained a buck just for looking.
I walked a mile yesterday, saved a dollar on bacon on sale, plus my dollar today. I also have $50 in the money I have saved since I cancelled life insurance. So $53 to add to my challenge money.

    I found a dime on the ground yesterday when I was walking the dog and got all excited! Aren't we funny people?

    When we moved into our current house, it was suppose to have been swept and mopped. Luckily, it wasn't. We found loose change all over the place...in bedrooms,in the family room...even in the garage. We had a grand total of $1.42.

    Back during the winter on a really cold and rainy/sleety (is that even a word?) evening. I ran around the parking lot at Aldi gathering up all the loose carts. With about 2 minutes worth of work, I made $1. LOL

    Coming home a few months ago from the grocery store, at of the corner of my eye I spotted what looked like dollar bills. I pulled my vehicle over and hopped out. My children were saying, "Mom, what are you doing?" I ran across the road and started scooping up dollar bills and fives. (It was like it had rained money) I hopped back in the car and started to drive off, when my daughter spotted some more. She hopped out and collected some more. Total was $42. It should rain money more often.

    My husband and I often discuss how we stare at the ground when we're out and about. A month ago I found a book of stamps on the ground in a parking lot. He found $120 in the parking lot of a bar! We felt bad that someone had lost both of these items, but neither are easy to find the rightful owner for.

    I do pick up every coin I see though - it adds up!

    LOL I do the same thing Ima! I found a dime and a penny on the ground yesterday, and 2 dimes on the floor of the cafeteria at work last week. That $.31 will go towards the Camaro I want to buy...lol

    I check the newspaper machines as well, and at work I always check the candy machine. People never leave change in the soda ones, but the candy one? At least once a month. Smile
