Plenty of left overs

July 10th, 2007 at 01:34 pm

My dh always believes in making plenty of food when we have company over. So, for sunday night, he cooked 16 hamburger and 6 brats for 8 people.
We had 9 hamburgers and 5 brats left over, not to mention tons of fried potatoes and baked beans.
Guess what we are having for lunch every day this week?
We were supposed to stay home for supper last night and work on a cost sheet, but we took it with us and went to the restaurant instead.

You could use the crumbled up hamburger and add it to a french loaf of bread, along with a pizza sauce, mozzarella cheeze and other toppings and have a pizza.

You can also add it to an omellete. Break up the hamburger meat and add cumin, chili powder and put it on a tortilla with your own ingredients.

For leftover frankfurters, we cut them up, brown, and serve them with fried eggs. I also cut up the frankfurters and add them to the baked beans.

You can also cut up the frankfurters into bitesize pieces and make up a chili sauce and grape jelly combination and cook them over low heat.
