30 cents for breakfast!

I just figured out about what dh and I spend for breakfast at home every day. It comes to about 30 cents each.
We each eat one egg and 3 of those little smokies sausage.
We always have left overs for lunch. We bring home our dinner out from the night before and use that for our lunch. My dh is so good about packing his lunch every day of his working lift. I bet that has saved us tons of money.
The subs he uses, eat their lunch out every single day.
We have one guy who has done our a/c work for the past 20 years. He has eaten lunch out for the past 20 years. One day we were talking about stock. He was given the offer to buy stock in his A/C company but he did not have the $2000 to purchase it.
He didn't have $2000 but he could eat lunch at a restaurant every day!!!

    People don't realize how its the little things that add up. I remember someone I worked with stopped going out to eat so save $80 a month and got a lot of flack for it. He was saving money for an adoption! Wise choice in my mind.

    Not everyone has money to sit on. He possibly had it wrapped up in another project to better himself in other financial gains.

    It is. No, I have known the man for over 20 years and he does not have any savings at all. He told me so. He charges $115 for a house call.

    I can't get over how quickly the members of this board detect someone from my local board.
    I am not trying to single out my a/c guy, almost all of the subs drive all the way to town to get lunch every day. Since the jobsite is 15 miles one way from town, they use up all that gas, plus don't get paid for about 2 hours of their time. If they would bring their lunch, they would save in gas, time and lunch money.

    What I dont understand is why they feel the need to follow you over here just to see what you are doing and saying.

    When we were in constuction, the guys all brought their lunch. That not only saved money but it saved time too. They didnt have to take off and drive into town to get lunch therefore they were able to knock off work earlier.

    I know, I get annoyed that people want to follow me around!! I guess I should change my name on here if that would help.
    Right now dh's jobsite is so far from town, it takes a 1/2 hour drive to get to town and 1/2 back.

    Ok, what is a good name that I can use and they won't find me? Red neck Rose?? I could start a "rename Ima saver"contest.

    I have read the post from the poster and they don't add anything to the forum. It's just one-liners thinking that they're aggravating people. Seems like a waste of their good time to me. Some people don't have a life. Anyway, we know who you are and you can just get rid of any people that you don't want answering your posts.

    I do not know what you are talking about following anyone. I found this looking up the word BLOG in a search criteria and somehow found this. I have no idea what anyone is talking about other than I found a site here that is just as imformative but you can slam me if you want too. Thanks!

    Butterfly, I am sorry if I upset you. I am on a local forum and a few of the locals came over to this forum and made some nasty remarks. they don't like the fact that I talk about saving and budgeting on the local forum. Their "take" is that you can't take it with you, so why save?
    We have a butterfly on that forum, and I thought it might be her, or someone using her name.
    The members on this forum tend to think a lot alike and we are all interested in saving money. We often talk about people we know who waste their money and just don't have a clue on how to live on a budget. My A/C man was just an example of a man that had a chance to buy his company's stock when it was an IPO, but didn't have any money to do that.
    I got UPS when it was an IPO and have made good money.
