What does your life revolve around? What is most important in your life? For some, it could be food, drugs, work, children, etc.
Someone on another forum said that my life revolves around money. I would have to disagree.
I learned to respect money at an early age after my father died. We didn't have any income coming in. I learned what it was like to go to school and be hungry all day. Money is important in my life and to many other people, it is too.
But, I would have to say that the most important thing in my life is my husband and our life together.
I think we have a pretty wonderful life!!
What does your life revolve around??

The impression many others take is I am money-obsessed, which I find ironic because I place much less value on things and money than most people I know. For example, I have lived on much less to be there for my kids, accept buying used things over status, etc. I value working less and making less over going for a top paycheck.
Today my life revolves around my family and yes my work to support them. I really do try to revolve my life around helping others, but has been much harder with small children who need me more than anyone else in the meantime.

But that doesn't mean there aren't things out there that are more important than money. My kids are one such example.
Saying that you are financially responsible and aware doesn't mean money is more important than the people you care about.

My life centers around what I can do to make the tools we have work FOR us. More work hours? Tweak the investments? Cut back here? Save over there.
This in turn gives us the comforts we have. My SO is extremely supportive of my efforts since it's made our lives a lot easier, less stress, more time w/our animals etc.
It doesn't mean it's more important than family, but you have to take care of your tools.

And if he weren't here, hmm, well my primary focus would be to stay on track with the goals i've set and look to unload myself of my house, and all its costs, in the next 3 years at the outset.
