Wow!!

Wow, the stores are mobbed. I had to go to 3 places and everyone was grabbing valentine stuff, cards, flowers and candy. A lot of money is being spent today and some of the people don't look like they can afford it.
One of the best presents I ever got was a homemade card my husband made me about 1980. I still have it sitting on my desk! Little things mean a lot!

    Hehe. Last minute shopping for Valentines. Big Grin A co-worker was commenting that's it's not Valentine's Day that's the most stressful. Rather, it's the day after. V-day+1. That's when those who didn't get anything get into a real grumpy mood. Big Grin

    Anyways, I like the homemade card idea too. I have a friend who always sends homemade Christmas cards, and they certainly do seem to mean more than a store-bought one.

    LOL!...well, I had to scamper today to find a flower shop that A. still had flowers left and B. was still making deliveries...
    my boss figured since he's not going to be home tonight (away at training), it would be nice if his wife still got something!...so, he gave me a budget and a mission!!

    We had horrible weather here today. DH and I went snowshoeing but were amazed how many cars were on the road (we were able to walk to trails... no way we were taking teh car out!). Maybe they were all scampering for Vday gifts? Having an unexpected day off (due to the weather) and spending it with DH made this the best Vday I've ever had.
