Eye liner!!

I don't use a lot of make up, but I do use eye shadow and eye liner. Why does that stuff cost so much. It is terrible. I went to CVS this morning and used a $4 off coupon that i have, so i will add that to my challenge money also.

    It IS expensive. Good thing you had a coupon. Rimmel has some inexpensive kohl sticks and other makeup that is pretty cheap. It's nice if you want to experiment with new colors.

    Ima, have you tried eyes, lips, face they are $1.00 each and really good quality, I don't use anything else anymore

    I used to buy expensive makeup but have found that the dollar store lipsticks are just fine. Mind you, that I get alot of Lancome products free because I buy a certain perfume. I still am now buying the cheaper lipstick. I also now buy the eye liner sticks for $1. I didn't do that before. The only thing that I can't seem to buy reasonable is the mascara. Anyone have any ideas about that and what you think is a better brand.

    i think the eyes, lips, face brand label is E.L.F in case you can find it julie... they don't sell it everywhere (like here in hawaii) so i don't know how good it is but i've heard decent things about it but i did see it on TV and remember that just about everything in their product line is $1... definately worth trying...
    as for me, i think make up cost too much too...i mostly just use hand-me-downs i get from family... my grandma buys clinique skin care but doesn't really wear makeup so she gives my mom the "free gifts w/ purchase" and mom doesn't wear much so she gives them to me....
    i also occasionally buy some from garage sales... lots of people sell mary kay and when they quit they "clearance" their stuff at garage sales so it's a good time to buy stuff... of course, since i don't wear a lot i only need to buy stuff once in awhile...
    good for you for using a coupon julie... if i had to shop retail i would hope to hit a sale, have a discount, or have a coupon...
