Dinner out!

January 3rd, 2007 at 03:33 pm

We had a great dinner out last night. I get so stir crazy when I stay home several nights in a row. We had lots of left overs to bring home too. My dh made up a big pot of ham and bean soup last night. That will be his lunch for the next week or so. The ham was free so the only cost was the beans and some pototoes. I am not a soup lover, so I will eat the leftovers from last night.
Today is a pretty sunny (but cold) day, so I will probably make my liquor run to North Carolina.
It sure would save me money if this county wasn't dry and I didn't have to drive to another state to buy liquor. Well,I have been here 22 years, so that is not going to happen anytime soon.

I'm not a big soup eater either, but leftovers are always good! Enjoy your lunch! In regards to the liquor runs, I don't know what you buy, but have you thought about doubling up on your purchases to save your drive time? Get 2x your normal purchase at once & you don't have to go for twice as long? Of course, if theres not enough room in your fridge or pantry to store it, thats understandable. Thats usually my problem Smile

Actually I have thought about it and will probably do that today. I just don't want them to look at me funny. also, you have to get a special ticket to do that. I guess to prove you are not running liquor into a dry county and reselling it.

If you buy larger quantities, they will give you a discount. I know people who buy wine and beer online. Is that permisible in your state. Shucks and I was thinking that it would be great to move to GA and now this. HA HA!

Not all of Georgia is dry. Just up here in the mountains where there use to be lots of moonshiners.
