Free Bread!

DH came home with 10 loaves of free bread yesterday. The guy he is building for , use to own a restaurant and this was the bread he would serve. I always loved it, so he sent me some. I had some for breakfast and will serve it with our steak dinner tonight. DH had a sandwich with it, for lunch!
We are really enjoying it. Is it ok to freeze it? I don't think we can eat all 10 loaves before it goes bad.

    My mother freezes bread all the time. But I don't know how she wraps it or anything. Maybe someone here will tell us. I so love bread....

    I freeze bread all the time! I do double bag it to keep it from getting freezer burn. And I find that when I thaw it in the fridge as opposed to sitting it on the counter, the crust does'nt get hard! Hope that helps!

    Yes, I agree that double bagging will keep it. You can even do that with bread not sliced.


    Something else I do is when I have green peppers that will go bad, I cut them in strips, put them on a plate, place them in the freezer, then into a freezer bad and I always have green peppers when I cook. It really works and I especially do that for the yellow,red and orange ones when they go on sale.
