I thought i would get a roast for sunday, we have not had one in a while. But I find that because steak is on sale, I can get two steaks cheaper than I can buy a roast. Well, I prefer steak over roast, so that is what I bought.
I got N.Y. strip.
I have never bought or eaten sirloin steak cause I thought it might be tough. Does anyone every cook them in a crockpot to get them tender?
Steak is cheaper!

It's a wonderful, tender cut perfect for grilling on the BBQ or broiling in the oven. Save the slow methods for tough steaks.
If you're ever wondering what to do with a particular cut of beef, try http://www.beeffoodservice.com/Default.aspx
Just look under "Cuts".
It's aimed at the foodservice industry, but has lots of good information.
This page has a good diagram as well: http://www.certifiedangusbeef.com/chef/cuts.php
Have a great steak!

P.S. Sorry for the edits, but does anyone know why the vB codes don't seem to work on these comments?
