dh and his shoes

My dh stands up all day. His feet hurt a lot and he needs a new pair of work shoes about every 6 months. Those who enjoy shoe shopping would love going with him.
If we go to the mall, he goes to every store and tries on every pair in the store. (I buy the first pair that fit me, I hate shoe shopping)
This goes on all day until he finds the best pair.

I won't even go to the mall with him any more. We have a large store locally that sells everything, including shoes. So I send him by himself.
I always tell him, if he finds something he likes, buy two pair.
Then he will have a pair for next time. He went yesterday, found two pairs, bought one! They were $75. He could not bring himself to pay $150 for two pair. So, He will have to go thru this again in about 6 months! Oh well, at least I did not have to go with him!

    Been there! But I usually have to go along and pay for them cos he won't. Hubby has four pairs. Work boots, tennis shoes, cowboy boots (we live in Texas....), and 1 pr. dress shoes. Oh, and recycled tennis shoes in the garage for outdoor work. He's had the cowboy boots for probably 15 years. The dress shoes collect dust. Replacing either of the other two is hard work......

    I'd take down all the info from the box and immediately go and purchase a second pair, and save them - either for an "emergency" or else as a birthday or Christmas gift.

    Apparently your dh ENJOYS this shopping experience, or else I have no idea why he spends his valuable time in this manner - like you, I'm not that interested in shopping.

    Well, if he really likes shopping I wouldn't want to deprive him! However, my DH doesn't, so we just keep buying the same ones over and over again at shoebuy.com. It has saved time over trying to find them again locally, in the right size and color.
