Under 30 kilowatts

September 3rd, 2006 at 04:48 pm

I have been reading my meter every day at noon and recording the amount of kilowatts of electricity I have been using. for the first time since June, the kilowatt reading was under 30! It was 29. It really helps when it is cool like this. I still expect a large bill this month, but I feel sure it will be under my budget and next month's bill will be even lower. I love that, cause I add the difference to my $20 challenge.

Great idea! To save me wading back through all your posts can you tell me what your daily kilowatts was when you first started this this project? Was it 30 a day or higher?

I started in June. I was trying to stay under 50, but I passed it many times. A few times this summer, it hit 60kilowatts. I am trying to keep my bill under $160 a month and 50 or under seems to be the magic number for me.
