Why do dogs eat grass?

May 19th, 2006 at 06:37 pm

Anybody know why? You are such a bunch of smart people, I thought someone might know! My puppy (she is 6) loves to eat it if I will let her. Today she spit it up when she came inside. (Thank goodness, not on the white carpet)

Ive been told it is to settle an upset tummy...but I do not know for sure.

It means the tummy is sick...and yep, if they eat it, they should throw it up.

You can give her Tums, just one and not regularly (kidney stones), but they work well.

Thanks!! She won't take any pills, hardly will eat dog food, so i guess I will let her eat grass when she needs to.
