What do you think?

December 3rd, 2014 at 09:16 pm

Today I went to the grocery store. When I came out, the car parked right next to me had a Vietnam Veterans tag on it.
I had some post it notes in my purse with flags on them. I left a note saying "Thanks for serving our country" Do you think that was ok? I am sentimenal over service people ( My dad was in WWI and WWII and served in the army for over 30 years)

I think it is great to thank someone for serving our country. I think it is best done in person, but great nonetheless. My husband, who is a vet, goes up to total strangers in uniform and thanks them. He once gave a pin to a very young guy in uniform and he said when he thanked him for serving, the guy was beaming from pride.

Kindness is never under-rated. I think that was wonderful.

It is always appreciated! I think the Vietnam vets need our thanks even more since they didn't get the same appreciation service members do today.
