cold and windy day!

Brrr. it is freezing here and the wind is blowing about 40 mph. I feel so sorry for my dh, who has to work outside in this weather. Actually, he is inside the house, but no garage doors, no soffits, etc. mean it is just as cold in the house as outide.

We are almost completely with groceries in this house. Last night we went to visit with friends and had to stop by Wendy's for supper, which was not very hot. But we enjoyed the visit.

Today, I went grocery shopping so we can eat this week. I saved $6 using my advantage card, so I will add that to the challenge.

    I spent the last eight days enjoying 70's and 80's ... so it was a rude awakening when I stepped off the plane in ABQ on Sunday. And an even ruder awakening when I stopped for gas at the town 30 miles from home - my phone said the temp was 12 degrees at the time I stopped for gas. 12 degrees plus wind = COLD!

    Winter came to Chicago today. Another closure on Lake Shore Drive, though not nearly as dramatic as the one last year.

    Did you get a burger or chicken nuggets? I have found the nuggets to be cold sometimes, but I don't eat them anymore, due to my acid reflux ( I am on Prilosec.) I now get a baked potato and a salad.
