We went over to the big house my dh is building last night. someone dropped off an old dog about a month ago, and dh has been feeding it so it won't starve.
The was the first time I got to see the master closet finished. It looks great. It is huge. It has a place to hang long things, like gowns. It has all kinds of shelves for shoes, purses, sweaters, etc. Lots and lots of rods to hang clothes, and best of all, 26 built in drawers! Even a built in seat to sit on to put you shoes on. Boy, it is a neat closet!! Ya'll are all invited to come over and see this house!!
Ok, I used no gas yesterday and the braves won a game, so I have $3 to add to the challenge money.
Prev. total $20,911.00
today 3.00
new total $20,914.00
You need to see this closet!!

All the wall/hanging/storage space is great but not much to do with the middle of the room (er, closet) - which is quite large.
Pics would be nice!

We will be building our house, as I am marrying a construction worker.
I have a plan but your closet sounds really good.
Monkey Momma: They sell a cute little island for walk in closets, for drawers and a flat space for other items too. Sounds like you wanted something in the middle. I would like to just spin in mine and see all of my clothes hanging. That would make me want to hang my clothes more often.

personally i prefer lots of shelf space rather than drawers - i would only have some drawers for underwear, socks, tights, makeup and jewellery - i like to have all my clothes where i can see them.
