Furniture shopping

DH took half a day off yesterday from work and we went furniture shopping. We need a new table/chairs for the breakfast room and 2 new chairs for our bedroom.
We went to 9 different furniture stores in two different states and could not find a thing even close to what we wanted. (we want something like we already have)
So, I felt like it was a wasted day, plus we lost 5 hours pay.
I did come home to find a check from american express in the mail box. It was for $6. I think it was from a reward when we last used the card, months ago. I will add it to the challenge money.

    I have been frustrated by furniture shopping, too. And here we are living in the furniture mecca of the US!

    I went on line to look today at the two furniture stores that we bought from the first time. They don't have what we want, unfortunately.

    If you know the name of the furniture manufacturer, you can find it online. I recently had to research a piece of furntiture that I own. You will also get links to other types of furniture that are similiar. Or just type in or google the type of furniture that you are looking for, i.e. french provencial, traditional, transitional, modern, southwestern, etc. and see what you come up with.
