I am over 70, but still feel like I am just 7. I love to go dancing with my wonderful husband of almost 40 years.Since we have never earned a lot of money, we have learned to take care of what we have. We live in the mountains in north georgia in a big beautiful house that my husband build and it is mortgage free. Now I am trying to save so my "younger" husband can retire someday.
I just looked back at my mutual funds portfolio for the past 3 months. On Dec. 12th, I had 46K more in my mutual funds than I had yesterday. Let's hope today things go better!!
Yeah, the recent drop in the market is hard to take. Well, here's to hoping for a rebound... which some are predicting that it's bottoming out, but we'll see....
Until you "cash it in", the gains and losses are on paper. If you cash out now, the the market is bottoming out at its lowest, you'll miss the inevitable rebound as it soars to its new highs....
Don't let the stock market scare you... but be sure you have the proper asset allocation in place.
