Ima saver (julie is my real name)

I am over 60, but still feel like I am just 7. I love to go dancing with my wonderful husband of almost 30 years. Since we have never earned a lot of money, we have learned to take care of what we have. We live in the mountains in north georgia in a big beautiful house that my husband build and it is mortgage free. Now I am trying to save so my "younger" husband can retire someday.

Well, I am $131.83 richer today!!

I earned that much in interest in one of my money markets for the month, yesterday. Not all accounts pay interest on the 1st of the month. I have some that come due on the 8th, the 10th and the 22nd. I keep track of my interest monthly. Got to love free money!! $131.83!!

I have .03 intrest for the year, and $4 fees for the month. I hate not getting free money. At least I will get money off my CD in August.

HelpMeFriend: Believe it or not, one starts with small amounts with interest and the compounding interest takes over and your interest starts earning interest.

Ima will tell you the same thing that it takes time.

I wish I was seeing that free money. Thanks to the stock market slide, our portfolio is down about $20,000 since the first of the year. Sure, our money market accounts have generated some interest, but the big picture isn't pretty.
