I guess this is one holiday that I really don't enjoy. First of all, I was born on Thanksgiving day, so it means I am another year older.
Secondly, I no longer have any family, so it is just the two of us together on thanksgiving day and I don't like to cook. There are restaurants open here for lunch, but that is all.
so, most of the time, my dh goes to work.

The year you were born, Thanksgiving HAPPENED to be that day. It is impossible for your birthday to fall on Thanksgiving every year, as the date changes.
Sorry, I had a former co-worker who went on and on about being a Thanksgiving baby and her birthday could have NEVER fallen on (a) Thanksgiving to begin with. @@
I love Thanksgiving more and more each year due to the fact that I enjoy the 4-day weekend more and more each year. LOL Plus all the yummy food!!!

But we always met with my mother and MIL and had a big dinner and celebrated my birthday on Thanksgiving day every year. Now, we are alone.

Have a nice candle light dinner with your hard-working husband, and play some nice music.
You can still make it a special day with very little effort.
My DH and I got married the day before Thanksgiving, and since we host the large family gatherings, our anniversary gets lost in the chaos. I don't mind though, we choose a weekend in November and go to a bed and breakfast inn to celebrate.
