No closing!

I am disappointed. We have the house completely finished and I am taking the papers to be bank today. But the loan officer that is handling the loan says it cannot be closed before the end of the month. Everything has to be mailed back and forth. So, no closing til sometime in January. We have so much money sitting in that house and I can hardly wait to get it back into the bank.

    Oh I'm sorry. I know you were hoping to get the closing done soon. I'm sure it will all work out though, and maybe even be for the best for you.

    Actually, the profit on that house was my husband's entire income for the year, that is why I wanted to close right away! Now what to tell the IRS that we lived on 0 income for the year.?? Have to order more propane for the house too!

    You lived off zero income....had an amazingly fun year...AND MANAGED TO SAVE ALMOST $20,000????????

    Wow Julie....he is the wonder contractor and you are the wonder financier!

    It doesnt sound like there's anything you can do to speed it up...so I will hope for an EARLY January closing for you guys!

    By the way...whats DH up to now that the house is done??? Is he enjoying some RNR?
