shorter days

October 31st, 2006 at 09:41 pm

I, for one, do not like these shorter days. This is when I started my habit of eating out everynight. I can not stand the thought of sitting around watching tv at 6 pm. Ican't wait til april when the time will change back.
I did save a dollar at the grocery store today and walked for 2 miles, so I have $3 to add to my challenge money.
Prev. total $18,046.00
today 3.00
new total $18,049.00

I'm with you on this one! Living further north than most, and because our city is really in the wrong time zone (we are EST but should be CST), daylight time means that in June and July it's still light out past 11 at night. But at this time of year, it's dark by 6 and by December it'll be dark by 5. Frown

I hate it when it gets dark early too. Today it was dark by 4:45. Yuck! Can't wait to spring ahead!

I was spoiled living in MT to have longer daylight hours. I am in California, its gets really dark at 5pm!

I dislike it, as well. It leaves very little time for the children to play outside after school let's out. And that will just get shorter and shorter over the next several weeks.

Daylight Saving Time begins on March 11, 2007. Congress changed it to March so we change over the same time as the rest of the world.
