Starting the $20 challenge

Every year I do the $20 challenge. It was started on this site about 8 or 9 years ago, I think.
Basically, you start with $20 and you add it it any way you want to.
I always add my Ingles advantage card savings at the grocerystore, the rebates that I get at our local building supply, all my credit card rebates, dividend checks, interest earned, my s/s since I have never spent a penny, garage sales and any other extra money that comes my way. I don't work any longer, so this is my way of contributing to the household income.

I ended the 2015 challenge with $21,315.00. My goal was to hit $20,000 for the year and I did.

I am ready to start the new $20 challenge with the interest that was credited to my four savings accounts today. They pay about 1% interest.

$20 challenge total $103.00

    Hi there, I'm a newbie. I like the sound of this challenge, although ive already set myself a number of challenges this year, this is something I could also consider too.

    I have started a $20 challenge.. i now have about 4 money challenges going for the year, along with a general no spend and mostly no new clothing.. wow a big year coming up! lol

    Thanks Ima. I really have set my bar high this year.. but im excited to make it work..the hardest thing is to convince your kids to do things with you but i will find a way to get around that lol
