Watching the conventions!

September 5th, 2012 at 10:17 pm

I have been watching both the republican and democrat conventions this past week. I am finding the speeches very interesting.
I think this might be the most important presidental race that I have ever voted in; and I have voted every 4 years.
I certainly find it interesting that our country owes 16 trillion in debt and that 46.6% of americans are on food stamps.

I am disgusted with both major parties, and intend to vote Libertarian.

I have to admit that I was a big ignorant to what $16T was; I saw it in print and thought "huh"? To think that trillions are the number we are talking about is sad ...

It is 46.6 million people (including dependent children) who are on foodstamps, rather than 46.6%, than kgoodness.

I think we'd be seeing the effects of this Great Unemployment much worse if we weren't doing something to take care of each other.

Today I started to read an investigation about local unemployment. I just couldn't face it even though I am secure and not effected directly.

I heard that Clinton gave a really great speech for Obama. I wish I'd caught it. I also wanted to see elizabeth warren talk; she's running for senate in Massachusetts
