Happy May Day!

When I was a child, we lived in Virginia. Every May 1st, my school would have a big festival for May day. We even had a May pole! I don't know if May day is celebrated very much any more. I do know that May is my very favorite month. It is so pretty to see all the trees and flowers blooming!

    Thats a neat memory. I don't think May Day is publicly celibrated much anymore. I remember my mom talking about May Day from back when she was a kid but I don't remember anything about it in my own lifetime. Its really a pagan holiday called Beltaine and they still celibrate it with a may pole. I actually would love to go to one of their Beltaine Festivals but felt uncomfortable about it cause I don't really belong to any particular religion.
    Sorry if I rambled a little on your post Ima. It just triggered a lot of thoughts.
