Special day!!

I got to go to my one and only elvis concert 32 years ago today. I still have my ticket stub and the poster that I bought that night. They are in my "Elvis" room.
We had front row seats and Elvis was wonderful. He never sang better!! No wonder he was named "Entertainer of the Century"
I have $50 from my aarp envelope to add to my challenge.

    My first and only Elvis concert was in 1956, at Olympia Stadium in Detroit. It was an exciting time for a young teen in love with Elvis and his music.

    My daughter stopped in Graceland on her drive from Reno, NV to North Carolina. She is too young for Elvis, but I told her it was a must see. She took some great pictures!

    Looking through my dresser over the wekend I found a letter from my high school best friend with a card with Elvis's autograph on it. She gave it to me for Christmas in 1956. She got it from Elvis at the Memphis airport when he was just beginning. He hadn't even bought Graceland yet; still lived in the ranch house. Yes, still fans after all these years. It is getting hard to believe that he is living in Kalamazoo now though.
