First day of winter!

Today is the first day of winter although it has been a very cold month so far. It is also the shortest day of the year. That is good, cause now the days will start getting longer.
I did my grocery shopping this morning. I bought several things I did not need (yet) because they were on sale. According to my receipt, I saved $10 using my advantage card. I will add that to the challenge.

    Winter seems to hit my mood hard. This year, I'm going to try to concentrate on all of the positive things in my life so that I don't feel as sad in the winter. I am also following a vitamin regimen and will try to visit my sister in Florida this February (my nightmare month).

    At this moment, it is a whopping 6 degrees in St. Louis, with even lower wind chills. Sounds like we are in for a cold, not a white, Christmas.

    I wish our grocery stores would do advantage cards!

    Here in the Twin Cities, we cling that thought of "the days are now getting longer." That's because the worst is yet to come--January and February are generally the most brutal, and winter doesn't feel over until mid-April or later.

    The weather here in Georgia is crazy huh Ima? Today it was a high of 32 and by friday it is supposed to be almost 70 degrees.
