Nice check

A nice check arrived in the mail yesterday for $150. My husband did a winterize job for a house that a local bank is foreclosing on. They can't turn the power on until they get the house back and they are afraid that the pipes will freeze. There are so many foreclosures in our paper right now. Sadly, I know many of the people and a lot of them are builders like us. Times are really getting hard right now and I don't see things getting any better for a long time. Well, I will add the money to my $20 challenge.

    Ima,

    Did you post somewhere that you did the get paid for doing a survey on-line? If not do you have any info about this?

    Hi Ima, thank you again for your inspiration. I think you are going to make it to $25K on your $20 challenge this year. I was at work today removing the coupons from this past sunday's newspaper (we get the paper in our office) and I was talking to my two secretary colleagues and the one lady made a snide remark about "poor people having to clip coupons" inferring that I was "poor" ... I told her that this past w/e when I spent $185 on groceries I was able to pay for my groceries entirely from my savings on coupons because I "save" the difference in a separate savings account called my $20 challenge. I told her that I had saved nearly $400 from Sep 18th -to-Oct 18th in my coupons "savings" acct that I had banked ... I told her even when I become more affluent later on in my career, I will still clip coupons because I love skimming off the profit margin of the grocery and drug stores. Many, Many THANKS!!
