I am over 70, but still feel like I am just 7. I love to go dancing with my wonderful husband of almost 40 years.Since we have never earned a lot of money, we have learned to take care of what we have. We live in the mountains in north georgia in a big beautiful house that my husband build and it is mortgage free. Now I am trying to save so my "younger" husband can retire someday.
I think you should have 6 months of living expenses saved up, if possible. Three months for sure. We always have at least 6 months, cause we are self employed.
I have been living paycheck to paycheck. I can't even pay my credit card bills, which makes them even worse. What advise would you give me to start an EF, since I don't even know where to start?
Start with anything!! Take a one dollar bill and put it in a jar. Add your change every day. Even if you can only save $5 a week, it is a start. You must pay your self first a little out of every paycheck. Open an on line savings account (or local) and add that money every week! You can do it!!
