I am over 60, but still feel like I am just 7. I love to go dancing with my wonderful husband of almost 30 years. Since we have never earned a lot of money, we have learned to take care of what we have. We live in the mountains in north georgia in a big beautiful house that my husband build and it is mortgage free. Now I am trying to save so my "younger" husband can retire someday.

Oh My Gosh!!

I spent $36 for gas for my car last night. That is the most money I have ever spent at one time.
That probably seems cheap for a lot of you with big SUV's but was a shocker for me!!
Of course, I have to buy premium at $3.19 a gallon, so I got less than 12 gallons.
However, I did not buy gas last week at all, so this is for 2 weeks of use. I guess I will start buying gas every week so I won't be in shock!

Regular unleaded is $3.35 here, and I'm sure it is a lot higher in other areas. I guess we will just have to get used to the fact that cheap gas is history. Don't have to like it though!
I filled up a few days ago, and had the same reaction. It was the most I have ever paid to fill up a car, and it has a small tank!

Regular here on Long Island is about 3.25/gallon.

are you kidding? My fairly thrifty Toyota Camry takes $50+ to fill up

Used to carpool to school, commute to work (unfortunately about 35 miles away 4 or 5 days a week), etc.

Our gas has dropped from $3.39 a month ago for regular unleaded to $3.19 at the cheapest station. Most stations here are still at $3.29 for regular unleaded.
