Unhappiest day of the year

Today is called Blue Monday. It is supposed to be the unhappiest day of the year.
First, the weather is bad.
Second, all the christmas bills are due.
Third, all the new year's resolutions you made 3 weeks ago have been broken.

Well, I don't know about you, but i am very happy today!! I had a great steak dinner last night, my windows are sparkling and I am meeting people from my local forum for lunch today, some of them for the first time!!

    In MN, we had an incredibly warm fall, so today's winter day isn't too bad to take (ask me in March!) No Christmas bills due, as we paid it all in cash. Not big into grandiose resolutions - just make changes as needed, and start out small. So no unhappy day here (well, my youngest isn't feeling well, but is resting easy.) Happy Blue Monday to you too!!

    I'm quite happy as well.
    It finally snowed for the first time. Our (paid for every month) credit cards are paid ... including the residual Christmas purchases.
    I had a great meal last night.
    And I also got to watch a really good football game (Indianapolis/N.E.).

    Happy here as well, even though we are still iced in. I'm toasty enough, bills paid, there was no Christmas debt as we paid cash, full tummy, warm dogs, sleeping in hard-working Frugalson at home and The dear Hubster and CashHappySon are off at work. It's a nice quiet day. I'm going to work on the yearly budget here in a few minutes and price some stuff for the junque' booth - and toss some chow in the crockpot for later tonight.

    Life's good!

    Blue Monday eh? Learning something new everyday I guess. Me, I feel fine. No better or worse off then most other weekends... although perhaps that's not really saying much. Big Grin

    It is cold here...but no bills from Christmas and the New Years resolution, while a little different than Id planned---is going just fine. So, all things considered, Id say this Monday isnt an unhappy one here!

    I'm happy, too! Mostly cus things are going so well with B., but also becus I'm on track with financial goals i set for myself in December, my job is stable and family well.

    OK- I have to say I am happy too- I am healthy( a true blessing after being sick last year- I'll never take my health for granted again) and I have a warm house to curl up on my bed and watch DVDs. Mom cooked soup beans yesterday, so we will have Amish haystacks tonight-YUMMY!!! You take fritos, onions, lettuce, tomatoes, olives, salsa, cheese and ranch dressing and have a haystack. Its in layers- beans in the middle.
