Lonely day

November 15th, 2006 at 04:42 pm

My little pooch, Holly, is gone today. she is at the groomers til about 4 pm. It is a rainy and gloomy day too.
It is funny how much I miss her when she is gone. I don't see how anyone can live without a pet??

They are like children who never grow up! It is incredible how you can get so attatched to them.

I hate it when I accidently hit the enter key before typing my entire post. My kitty, Bogus Khan left this world Sunday morning 4:30 am 2003 at home, on my bed, in my arms. Those were 4 very sad and lonely months until our next kitty, Cloud Warrior found us and his new home. Now we have 6.

When we finally get all our college kids out of school, we are going to have our dogs groomed by SOMEONE ELSE--other than us. We can't afford it right now. We're getting better at it. We both worked on them last night--did a passable job. I'm sure the vet is laughing behind our backs though......

My husband did our first poodle himself for years. This one is too fidgety!

I haven't had a real pet in 10 years (fish don't count, and they are all long dead, anyway). I may get a cat after the kids are out of the house, but I don't have the time, energy, or money to have animals now. I have three neighbor cats that make the rounds through my yard every day and so I usually get a little kitty time whenever I want it without the accompanying expense and committment. I also snuggle with the cat at MIL's house. That's how I can live without a pet. Or at least without a pet of my own.
