Taking lessons

September 21st, 2006 at 06:56 pm

I signed up to take bridge lessons today and I took my first lesson this morning. I am not a morning person and it started at 9 am, but I think I will enjoy it.
So, I spent $25 for the class and $7 for the bridge book.
Then I found a magazine that had several pages of the inside of a house my dh built, so I had to go buy a few copies of those.
Oh well, I think the money was well spent today and I know I will enjoy those lessons.!

I hope you really enjoy playing bridge! My mom and her friends would play bridge when we all went to the lake on a summer day.Sometimes, there would only be three and they'd try once again to teach me how to play. I always seemed to be the one in the hand called the "dummy!" They were so patient but I never did catch on cos I am awful with cards. The ladies loved to play. Here's to getting together....

Ooh, what is the magazine? I'd love to see pictures of a house your DH built.

At the risk of sounding stereotypical and ignorant (oops, too late! Big Grin), but ... what's the appeal of bridge and ... older folks? Is there even a connection?

Do you have someone you'll be able to play with regularly after you learn?
