Out of propane !!

Well I checked my propane tank the first part of february and discovered I had about 300 gallons of propane left. I thought I had plenty to last me the rest of the winter.
Thought I would check it out today and to my dismay, I now have less than 5% in my tank and it is going to freeze tonight. Now, they will come up and put propane in on a Sunday for a $50 fee. But I am going to chance it and hope that the propane lasts until tomorrow and that they can bring some tomorrow.
If you don't hear from me, you will know that I have frozen to death in my house!! Just kidding!

    Oh no!!! Good thing you planned on grilling tonight (yum). Do you have a woodstove??? Lots of blankets and socks???

    If not, take that $50 and find a reasonable hotel to stay at with DH...it could be a mini vacation!

    Our propane company scared the daylights out of me with the % bit here. Says it is my responsibility to get them here before it hits 15%........something about it getting empty that causes problems?? I've never had propane before, so my answer to something that seemed this critical, is to not use it at all. I've still got the propane I had put in the tank in November. The company has been here 2 times, because they said the computer told them I should be out by now! HA! I think not~~ Smile I would chance it too, rather than be charged the week end rate to fill the tank. Bundle up!!

    It is the only heat we have, no fireplace (except gas) I don't think it causes any problems if it runs out. I only ran out once in my life and the needle on the guage was wrong, showed I had about 20%. Like Ray said, we can always go to a motel. I just can't believe I have not checked it sooner. My fault!!

    We just visited your area! It was C_O_L_D!!!!! eeekkk. We left a day earlier due to the snow and frost. I can't wait to come back! When we return we should feel some warm weather! We stayed at the Ramanda--very nice and the people were so nice.
